Diablo 4’s dark and grim world gets a chilling holiday twist with the Midwinter Blight event. This limited-time seasonal event, returning in 2025 after its popular debut, brings a Diablo IV Items festive yet sinister vibe to Sanctuary. With new activities, special event rewards, and the looming presence of the Red-Cloaked Horror, players have plenty of reasons to brave the cold.
Here’s your complete Midwinter Blight guide—covering how to start, what to farm, and how to get the most out of the event.
How to Start the Midwinter Blight Event
The Midwinter Blight event is available only on the Seasonal Realm, meaning you’ll need to have a Seasonal character to participate. You should also have completed the main campaign at least once to unlock access to all the event areas and progression systems.
Head to Kyovashad in the Fractured Peaks.
You’ll find Midwinter Square near the main waypoint—this is the hub for all event-related activities.
Speak to Gileon the Bard, who introduces you to the festivities and serves as the vendor for the event rewards.
Event Overview & Activities
The Midwinter Blight event takes place exclusively in the Fractured Peaks. Once active, special monsters and mini-events will begin spawning across this region.
Key Event Enemies:
Blightfiends: These cold-infested monsters are your main farming targets. They drop Blighted Fragments used for crafting and rewards.
Frigid Husks: Frozen corpses found across the Peaks. Interact with them to receive Lost Heirlooms.
Red-Cloaked Horror: The event’s signature mini-boss. This fearsome enemy spawns after you trigger enough Midwinter activity and provides Red-Cloaked Trophies and high-value loot.
Blighted Revelry Zones:
Look out for areas marked with Blight activity on your map. These are semi-random spawns where you’ll find large groups of event enemies. Defeating them and defending Midwinter carts can trigger the cheap Diablo IV Items Red-Cloaked Horror and shower you with seasonal currency.
